We worship twice each Lord’s Day: at 1:00 PM, and 6:00 PM. We warmly welcome you to join us!
The purpose of these services is to worship and praise God by way of song (we sing versifications of the Psalms), prayer, and the reading and preaching of Scripture. At the heart of our worship service is the sermon—the lively preaching of the gospel, by which we are instructed in the truth of God’s Word, which is the chief means through which God bestows His powerful saving grace upon His people.
We worship God with reverence and respect, joyful to come into His holy presence, because we know He is so great and glorious. In the service, we seek to obey and serve God through our worship, not to earn His favor or the favor of men, but to show our love and thankfulness for the gift of Jesus Christ.
In accordance with Scripture, services also include the giving of tithes and, as the occasion arises, the administration of the sacraments. The sacrament of Baptism is administered to the children of believers, and to adult converts who confess their faith. We also celebrate the Lord’s Supper, which is open to the members of our congregation, and to those of like faith after meeting with the elders of the church prior to the service.
In addition to our weekly worship services, we gather for special worship services throughout the year: Christmas, Good Friday, Easter (Sunday), Ascension Day, Pentecost (Sunday), Prayer Day, Thanksgiving, and New Year’s Day.
The congregation is very much “family-oriented”. Parents attend church services as families – our children join us in the worship of our Savior throughout the entire service including the sermon (Matt. 21:16, Mark 10:13-16). There is also a nursery available for infants and toddlers.
In a time when “the family” is receiving renewed emphasis, we have been practicing this throughout our history – but based on Scriptural principles. Scripture teaches that God establishes His relationship between Himself and His church (Gen. 17:7), because He continues this relationship in the line of generations, and believing that our children are a gift from God to be instructed in the fear of the Lord, we include our children in the entire worship service.
